I am very pleased that you are interested in joining my leadership team at such an important time in Sussex Partnership's development. We are finalising our new strategy, to be published in June 2013. It focuses on the changes we need to realise the opportunities of clinical commissioning and weather the extended downturn.
The key features of the new strategy will be continuing to modernise our existing services, expanding into new areas in an ambitious and planned way, and stopping doing those things that we are not best-placed to do or cannot do safely within the resources available. The strategy will build on our clinical expertise and experience, with the quality of services - including patient experience, evidence, teaching, research and safety at its heart. We will continue to develop as a learning organisation, increasing our skills in the process, and build on our positive progress in equality, diversity and human rights and being ethical in the way we work. And the strategy will highlight the way we support our brilliant people, each of whom plays their part in delivering care we would be happy to receive ourselves, or our families to receive.
We want to fill three new roles in the coming weeks to enable greater capacity, increase our focus on quality, achieve our strategic goals for growth, and help us work closely with a multiplicity of commissioners and partners. They are each important positions, as you will see from the enclosed information.
Our belief is that extraordinary things happen if we never give up. The type of people we seek will have a brilliant track record of achievement in their professional field. They will be inspiring, able to get the best from others, innovative, ambitious to provide the best services, focused on the right details and relentless in their commitment to improvement.
